Global warming is happening; it is not a myth. The reasons for why it is happening are myths. No one can be 100% certain of why it is happening but there are probable causes. Many people believed it was out of human control. However, over the years, there has been scientific research to prove that global warming is caused by human activities. Some interesting facts I found while searching for global warming are:
1) Average temperatures in Alaska, western Canada, and eastern Russia, have risen at twice the global average.
2) Montana's Glacier National Park had 150 glaciers in 1910. Now the park has 27 glaciers.
3) Sea levels have been rising since the 1940s, scientists predict that it will eventually lead to entire states being under water.
4) I guess people believed the Antarctic ozone hole causes global warming; this is not true.
Some of the human activites that have been most likely causing global warming are:
1)Burning of coal, natural gas, and oil. (Causes a huge increase in carbon dioxide)
2)Deforestation (alters the climate--also causes release of carbon dioxide)
3)Decaying materials in landfill. (Causes a release of methane)
