is bad! Sure they may seem to be the cheapest, but how many times do you need to go buy them? They burn out much more frequently than other lightbulbs. You end up paying more for less light because these lightbulbs produce more 3 times more heat than light. Congratulations you bought yourself a space heater, not a lightbulb. Well for Alaska it would be nice because then you will save on your heat. However, you will be paying alot more for lighting and you will be doing damage to your environment. So I guess it is up to the individual; save on your heating or help save your environment.
